## About Wrenden Hot Sprs, Elsinore Hot Sprs

The record carries two names here, Wrenden Hot Springs and Elsinore Hot Springs, for a hot spring in Riverside County barely a mile from Lake Elsinore. The water is hot, past the point most people find comfortable for a soak. Nothing is recorded about public access or land ownership, so check before you go looking. Which of the two names people use locally is not something the file tells you.

East Franklin Street, a city street, is the road on file, under a hundred feet away, which makes it a roadside spot close to town at low elevation, around thirteen hundred feet. Snow does not fall here. Rain is light, about a foot a year. The record has nothing on land ownership or designation.

The months on file are the cold ones, December through February. Roadside, no walk. Wildomar Campground, about six miles out, is the closest camping on file. The water runs hot enough to warrant a hand test before you step in, and go slowly. Nothing is entered for fee or chemistry, and no access is on record too.
