## About Alkali Hot Spring

Alkali Hot Spring sits at the ghost town of Alkali in Esmeralda County, Nevada, a little more than nine miles from Goldfield. The water comes out at the threshold of scalding, too hot to step into as it emerges. Ownership goes unrecorded, and public access along with it, so assume nothing. What the record does hold is a past: this was a working spa in the 1930s.

The spring is twenty-one feet off the road, which is as roadside as it gets. Around it is the site of a town that no longer has people in it.
